This New Years Eve we had the honour of celebrating the marriage of one very special couple at The Venue with fireworks and our very own Casino.
The 110 Guests arrived in Black-tie to celebrate the wedding and to see in the New Year, the mens tuxedos and the ladies dresses complimenting the glitzy and glamorous theme.
The Food and Drink
The Guests were kept warmed against the December air with steaming pans of Paella, supplied by Cornwalls Big Pan Parties as the Bride and Groom wanted to avoid a formal seating plan in favour of a more casual and relaxed atmosphere. Trays of champagne were circulated to toast the happy couple and our fully licensed bar kept everyone refreshed throughout the evening with a selection of wines, beers and spirits.
The bride opted for a sparkling trouser and cape combination to continue the glitzy theme. A bright splash of red lipstick and a jewelled headband providing the perfect accessories.
"A Wedding Dress just didn't feel right for the occasion," said Connie, the bride. "I did want my guests to feel as though that had seen a bride though, so I wore white and opted for a long cape, which acted like a train. The Sparkly trousers were to add some fun to the look!"
Vegas-style Casino tables were laid out along one side of the marquee and guests were provided with vouchers featuring an image of the happy couple, which they could exchange for chips at the tables. A 15 foot Christmas Tree provided the focal point for the evening, keeping the festive cheer flowing.
The Dancefloor was certainly the place to be at this wedding and the count-down to 2019 was rung in with a spectacular fireworks display over the lake and gardens. Guests watched from the patio outside the marquee, warmed by our fire-barrels.
Happy New Year from the Venue Team!
